Is the Hyundai Getz really as good as the manufacturer's claims?

So far as I can tell, the Hyundai Getz Fun is supposed to be an "amazing" car. It's supposed to have excellent acceleration, gas mileage, etc. etc. Yet the one person I know who owns the previous model was very P.O.'d at how much the manufacturer

Never in the history of automobiles has there been a vehicle that's as good as the manufacturer claims, or rather as good as the manufacturer's advertising execs claim ... nor a dishwashing liquid, a computer, or fast food... it's just the nature of advertising.
