Is this normal after putting a cold air intake a honda accord?

i have a 2001 honda accord, with the 3.0 vtec v6....i put the intake on, and i reved it and it sounded nice, but i got down the street, and i punched it, and it hesitated for a second, and then went. is this because the car isnt used to the change in

yes, you need to have your computer re-programed to accept the additional air flow.
